Albert (Al) Parnell’s entire legal career centered on (a) providing successful, efficient advice to his clients, (b) preparing, managing, and winning products liability, environmental, and toxic tort cases in over 30 states, (c) mentoring and teaching lawyers and clients through over 300 national lectures and seminar presentations, and (d) offering clients expert advice and testimony on various legal issues.
Al has served as National Counsel for multiple companies in asbestos, chemical, and MDL cases. He has played a major role in the strategy development and negotiation of settlement of thousands of toxic tort and civil suits. He has been responsible for the management of complex litigation cases throughout the nation and has achieved successful outcomes for many Fortune 500 companies.
Al has provided expert advice to clients with major corporate litigation issues, has testified as an expert witness in litigated civil lawsuits, and has acted in the capacity of arbitrator and mediator.
The family man
Al is devoted to his family. He is the loving and proud father to 2 sons and a daughter; he has 4 grandchildren. He and his wife Kathleen have been married for over 40 years. They split their time between Atlanta and Savannah, GA, and they love to travel the world together.
Ryan, Al's oldest son, is a Vice President at Truist in Atlanta, Georgia. Ryan is a former professional golfer and obtained his undergraduate degree from UNC and his MBA from Georgia State. Ryan and his wife, Meredith, have two children: William and Olivia.
Brendan, Al's youngest son, is an attorney at Quirk & Quirk, LLC, in Atlanta, Georgia. Brendan graduated from UGA and obtained his JD from Georgia State. He plays bass guitar in the band, Along for the Ride, when his law practice allows. Brendan and his wife, Molly, have two children: Audrey and Emily.
Catharine, Al and Kathleen’s daughter, and Catharine’s husband, Ed, are both Majors, United States Army JAG Corp. Reserves. Ed is a litigator for the Department of Justice and Catharine is the attorney for Skyloom.co
Al and Kathleen have given back to their local community in the Brookhaven neighborhood of Atlanta. Al thrives on his work but he enjoys golfing, eating at his various restaurants, cruising, spending time at his home in Savannah on the Wilmington River and spending time with family and friends.
